Surrounded by wonderful farmland as we are, it will be no surprise to learn that we choose high quality local suppliers to provide us with the freshest ingredients for our menu.
We use organically reared lamb from Mansergh Hall Farm just two miles outside Kirkby Lonsdale, also famed for their fresh Asparagus. Our free-range rare breed Pork is from Foragers (so named after the breed of pig) and our Duck and cornfed Chicken come from Johnson & Swarbrick in Goosnargh who (if we are to name drop) supply Le Caprice, The Ivy, Savoy Grill, Box Wood and Claridges.
We also shop right in Kirkby Lonsdale, next door but one to the Sun Inn is Dales Traditional Butchers where we get excellent beef, bacon and award winning sausages, and right next door to the Sun Inn is Churchmouse Cheeses, voted the UK's best cheeseshop.
Fresh seasonal vegetables are delivered daily from Richard Wellocks and Son's who pride themselves on bringing us the best from regional producers, picked and delivered within 24 hours.
Fish and seafood is also ordered and delivered daily so if you have any special requests we are happy to accommodate these with just 24 hours notice.
